Michael’s Vision in His Own Words
LIFE PRESENTS EACH OF US WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASSIST SOMEONE IN NEED EVERYDAY. I’M JUST TAKING ADVANTAGE OF MY OPPORTUNITY. ARE YOU PREPARED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOURS?”
Our founder, Dr. Michael Honrychs, was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) on May 28, 2014—he is currently fighting to survive. Full Court Press on ALS, 501(c)(3), was formed to help major ALS research and medical organizations have an annual revenue stream for research with funding through educational awareness summits and collegiate basketball exhibition/awareness games.Dr. Honrychs has dedicated his life to helping others through his passion for basketball and medicine. As co-founder of the New Jersey based Gym Rats AAU team, Honrychs has helped over 200 young men obtain college scholarships, degrees, and go on to lead successful careers. His medical dentistry practice of over 30 years focused on treating the handicapped and underserved. Through his medical practice, Dr. Honrychs has also provided free care for members of the military, the police, firefighters, and their families. Going a step further, he established a fellowship at his church to provide dental care for the underprivileged at no cost—his list of selfless acts of kindness never ends.
I sincerely hope that by donating to our organization, we can help spread the message and fight ALS using basketball as a medium to engage the community.
